ANNA ANCHER SCARF FOR SKAGENS KUNSTMUSEER
Scarf collection and small scale handmade production for Skagens Kunstmuseer, connected to the largest solo show ever of the important danish painter Anna Ancher´s body of work 2020.
ABOUT
Jacquard knitted scarf collection, commissioned by Skagens Museum in Denmark for a specific exhibition. This museum represents historic modernist paintings from the Skagen painter colony, who was living and creating art in Skagen between 1850-1930.
My scarf series is a tribute to the center artist in the colony: ANNA ANCHER. I´ve made a scarf that Anna would wear if she lived today. The colours are inspired by one of Anna´s key pastel works from the solo exhibition.
The pattern continues from my solo show at Skagen Kunstmuseer in december 2019. Click here to view this exhibition.
There are 4 colours in this series, all made inhouse in my studio in Copenhagen with my vintage knitting machine. The yarns are a blend of merinowool & cotton.
