About Turkish Angel ( words by Galerie Maria Wettergren ):

Dialogue with a Turkish islamic miniature painting from around 1600, from The Davids Collection in Copenhagen - the finest collection of Islamic precious antique art-objects in Northern europe. An interpretation of antique textiles and the symbolic value of flowers, earth and sky during the middle ages.

This contemporary tapestry is made with a high tech digital loom. The materials are delicate linen & merino wool, woven in a method that allows the artwork to show on both side. Inverted colours. Size is 170 x 220cm.
